Art 100: Celf 100, touring exhibition

Displayed below is Peter's painting of Blaenau Ffestiniog undergoing conservation by NMW Conservation team in preparation to go on tour next month. The painting was commissioned in the early 1990's by the National Museum of Wales to hang in the restaurant. In 2020 a project called @celfarycryd on Instagram asked the general public to vote for their favourite works of art. The works with the most votes were to be part of a show called Art 100: Celf 100 which would tour Wales. Peter's proved to be one of the most popular works along with works by Rachel Whiteread and Frank Bowling, among others.

We await further details however the first port of call will be Aberystwyth towards the end of May, followed by Brecon and Oriel Ynys Mon.
