"Peter Prendergast's thumping great landscape drawings have the rhythm of the hills and gusts of oppressive weather"

William Feaver, Observer 14/06/98 re RA Summer exhibition.

When Peter Prendergast died in January 2007 he was widely recognised as one of Britain’s leading landscape painters and his work was acknowledged both nationally and internationally.

This website is the official site managed by his family, who also manage the Peter Prendergast estate. Our aims are:

  • To give you the opportunity to view high quality images of his art work, both exhibited and previously unseen. Peter was a prolific draftsman and left many drawings in an archive. These were in the form of finished drawings through to quick studies in the landscape and drawings of his family in sketchbooks. The website will be regularly updated with a selection of these drawings, many never seen in public before.
  • To keep you up to date with relevant links to websites relating to his work, life and exhibitions. Details of exhibitions and events will be posted on the site.
  • To offer official limited prints, books and postcards for sale, and to provide information to those interested in purchasing original work.

Peter Prendergast is represented by The Martin Tinney Gallery: www.artwales.com
